A one-time professional actor, Nader was appointed Executive Assistant to entertainment industry giant Norman Lear. During his time at Act III Communications. Nader was involved with films that were produced by Act III Productions, People for The American Way (Lear’s Democratic non-profit) and other corporate divisions of the parent company Act III Communications.
Nader joined McGhan Radio Productions as an Executive. He produced live radio remotes from Los Angeles, New York and Nashville in concurrence with major events as the American Music Awards, Country Music Awards, Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards and The Howard Stern Show. McGhan Radio Productions interviewed over 100 major celebrities a week, broadcasting via approximately 15 major market stations with a combined audience of more than 30 million live listeners daily. Nader worked with a broad range of artists from Little Richard, Dwight Yoakam, Travis Tritt, Michael Bolton, Lou Reed, Ned Beatty and personalities such as Howard Stern, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Dr. Ruth Westheimer andy many, many more.
Nader then launched Nader Group International (NGI), a photo syndication management company. NGI capitalized on the entertainment industry’s untapped niche markets, including the teen and soap opera markets, and the highly visible rock music world. NGI’s worldwide photo syndication network served a global market. The management arm of NGI represented a select group of known album cover and record company publicity photographers working with Rod Stewart, Sting, REM, Leann Rimes, Nirvana, The Cranberries, The Beastie Boys, Marilyn Manson, Tevin Campbell, Britney Spears, and numerous other artists. NGI added music journalism to its representation roster and began magazine packaging, syndicating celebrity studio photo sessions and interviews worldwide.
Nader also founded Carbide Records Ltd. Carbide’s first single “Popera” – an innovative dance version of Mozart’s “Il Mio Tesoro Intanto” – was heard in more than 3,500 clubs globally. The single spent several weeks on the dance charts. Carbide also introduced adult contemporary artist Jae Cie, whose “Reason for Living,” the first single from “Between the Lines,” received airplay on more than 150 radio stations across America and spent three months on the charts. Jae Cie’s success in America secured a record deal for the artist in Germany. Carbide Records also added rap/hip-hop artist Cima to its roster and secured a BMG publishing deal in Europe. At that time Nader consulted closely with Larry Harris the former co-founder of Casablanca Records.
Randy was hired as consultant and head of American A&R for EMI/Intercord Records, Germany. Responsibilities included artist and management coordination for the label of all their U.S. based talent and doing A&R for new talent in the US.
Nader then launched an artist management company. NGI’s signed multi-platinum Hip-Hop artist Warren G. securing his recording and publishing contracts. He also re-launched Gioia Bruno, the former lead singer of the multi-platinum band “Expose” launching her single “From the Inside” to the hit television show “Queer As Folk” and turned her into a club diva on two continents. NGI signed Bruno to a record deal with Koch Records globally. NGI then signed Brad Estrin from American Idol and inked a production deal with 360 Music Asia. Nader then signed Gabriel Hernandez for his solo record and his multi-platinum band “No Mercy.” Nader then took on the helm of the band and handled their contract re-negotiations. They have sold 12 million records worldwide. NGI signed Alyson and her label PM Media. Nader secured a North American distribution deal for PM Media and brought Grammy-winning producer Hex Hector on board to produce Alyson’s 3rd single. The collaborative successes for NGI and PM Media have allowed Alyson to have five top 5 Billboard dance chart hits. The management aspect of NGI also was contracted to consult artists by law firms and management companies seeking record contracts for their clients.
Nader also consulted Harper Public Relations 2000 throughout the formation of their partnership in 2007. The clientele included Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Canon, Louis Van Amstel, Catherine Bell, Dishwalla, Obba Babatunda, Discovery Channel, Dick Wolf clients and many other network and celebrity clients. The firm also represented luxury retail stores and launches in New York and Los Angeles.
NGI commenced into television development focusing on reality-based shows with an international appeal.
Nader is also founder and CEO of USA Filing, Inc a global administrative and consulting firm. The company consults with domestic and international corporations working with the US Federal Government.
